I know that steroid histeria has gripped the US congress. Little do they know how deeply the problem lies. It is time they focused on the arena of art. And specifically the art of Michelangelo and the Sistine frescos.

Michaelangelo the statue, in person, the dude is fucking amazing to look at.. Not saying that in a fruity way, disregarding his dinky ass penis, the man is STACKED, and it's quite cool to look at.. You just stand there and look up.. and are like.. Man I wish I looked like that dude.. Was it overportrayal of the symbols, or were most men this muscular..

The statue is actually called "David", created by Michaelangelo. I think its around 13 feet tall or something. Im pretty sure it was overportrayal of the symbols, not typical representation of 15th century Italy men.
 
Ha shit.. sorry dude.. I knew that.. I have this problem, where I start typing too fast, and not actually think what I'm typing. I'm not that dumb, I swear. Just have my moments where I go blank.. Been traveling for 3 months over here bro.. Fucks with your head a bit.. I'm just worn out I guess.. Ready to get back to the States

So is the statue really that badass in person? Ive never seen it up close for real.

Yes, people then (and I suppose now too) were totally obsessed with the beauty of the human body. No chance of a fat bastard getting painted onto the roof of The Sistine Chapel!!!!

Actually it was based on Greek scupture. During the rennaisanse(SP) there was a great interest in "classical" antiquity. Check some greek statues, good stuff, those mofos drank winny by the barrell

people like michaelangelo davinci, etc, go well beyond what they see everyday and invent new ways of looking at things.

Also michaelangelo dabbled in autopsies to find out how the human body worked. By doing this, he was able to see the true musculature of the human body which is where his inspiration came from. Autopsies was very very taboo in that time if I recall so it was done in strict secrecy
 
Did they sell clam butter oil at Walmart during the Italian Renaissance?
