cubs fan going on vacation?

The cubs fan now famous for catching the foul ball at last night's game is being extended a free 3-month vacation at the Holiday Inn Oceanside Pompano Beach along with free airfare, a dinner at Dan Marino's restaurant, and free martinis at the Martini Bar.

"An oceanfront retreat in Southern Florida is the least we could do for the fan that saved our season" said Phil Goldfarb, President of the Hoilday Inn Pompano Beach. "As a dedicated Marlins fan, it is our honor to return the favor," he continued.
 
the shortstop, the one who gets PAID to play, screws up the double paly that would of won it for the cubs yet no one mentions him, i dont get it, what he did was just as bad as buckner, that shortsop should be getting the room right next to the kid, hes the real one to blame

I disagree. If assfan didn't interfere with the obvious out that Alou had in his fucking hands then gonzalez wouldn't have been pressured to try and turn a double play. In turn he would have been calmer and just picked it up and a quick flick to second base ends the inning. Instead he is pressured to try and turn a double and in turn messed it up.

If the cubs lose tonight which I can't see why they would with Kerry Wood on the mound I will blame it on that fucknut of a fan, plus I will blame it on Dusty Baker for pitching to fucking pudge. I told my ol man when he walked up that they needed to walk him, he has been far to solid in the series to let him get a chance to hit. More than one factor was involved in the loss but the fan started it all with his moronic fucking "damn I want a foul ball" bullshit. Fuck him.

pressure to turn a double play ball thats hit right at him??? give me a break, thats what the guys is paid to do, if you want to go that route how do you know the foul ball would of been caught in the first place with all that pressure leaping into the stands like that??
 
The cubs folded, plain and simple. They can blame a fan in the stands, the curse, or even a billy goat, but it is the team who lost. Win or lose, they need to get over it. At first it was kind of interesting. The cubs trying to finally break through and win a championship, now they have turned into a bunch of cry babies who want to blame everyone else except the players.

I might offer the guy money too if the cubs lose.
 
The dude could....but....it would only be marginally safer than staying in Chicago, as the people who now want to kill him would know where to look for him. Flights from Chicago to Miami aren't all that expensive. What he needs to do is change his appearance as much as possible and keep a low profile..for a few years.
 
If the cubs lose tonight I hope he gets his ass beat everywhere he goes...fuck florida, fuck the yankees, if those two teams go at it inthe series..mark my words LOWEST RATED SERIES EVER, no one cares about florida and almost everyone outside of NY hates the Yanks
 
If I were him, I would never accept any deal like that from a business owner that happens to be a Marlins fan. It just makes the whole thing worse. It was most likely a bad fucking mistake, because he acted on instinct and without thinking. A lol of others might have done the same thing, and probably would have hated themselves afterwards too. When I saw the footage the other day, I yelled at the bastard too, even though I could give a fuck less about the Cubs. But let's not get out of hand. Anyone who tries to hurt this fellow because of a game, regardless of how important, is beyond contempt. No discussion there.

As for the NLCS, fuck the Marlins. They somehow pulled out a championship from their arses in '97. Not again. Now it's time for these fish to be gutted by the Yankees.

I feel sorry for you if you really believe that. Anyone that thinks what that fan did cost the Cubs the game hasn't a clue. Gonzalez is one of the best fielders in the league, and he let the ball play him instead of the other way around...that was a double play ball...end of inning.

Blaming a loss on a fan is flat out stupidity!

How about blaming the loss on the players, the pitchers, etc. If a ball goes near the stands, it's only natural for the fans to want to grab it.

Blaming anything on a fan is stupid. You guys are stupid. Baseball is stupid.
