I am willing to bet that the same people who were getting across before, will be the same people getting accross now, even though the borders MAY be a little tighter. IMO, if they ARE any tighter(and Im referring to the TJ/SY crossing), then Im pretty sure that they are giving 1000% more scrutiny to those who may fit their terrorist profile. So basically, if you look to be of middle-eastern descent, then you have worries. All others may get even LESS scruitiny than pre 9/11/01. IMHO

very truE. Also I heard that some of the boarder patrol in for the Mex boarder have be relocated to the Canada border. I heard it was for the terrorist thing and that they were going to take some who are on the Mex for the drug war and get them over to canada to stop the real threat.

I heard that too dude. Anyone who has seen the difference in security between the Sy/Tj border, for example, and the one at say Niagra Falls, knows that the real "siv" is the Canadian border. Imagine the luck that the guy who was gonna blow up LAX during New Years Eve 1999 actually got snagged trying to cross from British Columbia into the Washington area! They ought to give that customs guy a raise.
