I need some honest advice. I have good work ethic in the weight room. On a normal day, I'll do 5-7 lifts (at least 2-3 multi-joint) of four work sets consisting of 2-6 reps. Out of that 20-28 work set volume, at least 6-8 of those sets will be bona fide failures.
Now when I cycle, I take it up a notch. Usually 6-8 lifts, many more failures and heavier weight. There is something about that "the clock is ticking" feeling that just drives me to do more. For my first two cycles, by about week 6-7 I really started breaking down. By week 10, the end of my cycle, I'm just a wreck. Tricepts swollen, difficulty sleeping, total body joint pain, hair shedding, swolen everywhere (even with great use of anti-e's), etc. etc.
Anyway... this time I'm considering something different. What if I just stick to a good, but not crazy workout regimen in the gym? I think the answer will be favorable, but have you ever been in a situation where intellectually you know something is true but emotionally you just can't accept it?
Has anyone had better results doing an intense, but limited workout regimen in AAS -- as opposed to a balls-out run?
My first stick of my third cycle is in approximately one week!
