Crimpers seals vials

I hope I am posting in the right section, first timer here, my question is this, a buddy of mine has been making his own gear and using 50 ml jugs with an 18mm top, using 20mm stoppers. Question is, can he use 30 ml jug with a 15mm top or will he have to use different stoppers, seals and buy a new crimper? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, thanks for the help!

It depends on the crimper. Some have several options for size.
