Cracked Rib?

I was doing pullovers about a week ago with a 90#dumbbell...only go three reps..i do them with shoulders on edge of bench, butt low and feet on floor. Do you think it possible i could have pulled or cracked a rib? I am having knife stabbing pains on one side of my rib cage like never had in my life. Any thoughts appreciated and remedies...
 
if you cracked a rib, in most cases you can run your fingers along the ribline and feel where the break has occured. cut back on the activity a little bit., and go see a doctor
 
I had a cracked rib before. I never went to a doc but a few people who have experienced it also said that there's nothing much you can do about it except to take it easy and don't strain too hard. I couldn't do a pushup or run for about a month and a half
 
i cracked a rib once and i had trouble with breathing, sleeping, bumps in cars and crowds, eating, and sitting/standing, shitting... my point is if it's really cracked everything you do will be very painful, so go get some pain killers from the doc if you can.

Thanks for the advice....i have everything you described above...will get an x-ray or scan to prove....great weeks off w/o lifting...one day i will realize i am too old for some of this stuff.........thanks again....
