I am looking for recommendations in Houston for Orthopedists who do AC Joint injections using guided modalities such as ultrasound, and have weightlifters or other athletic clientele.
I am surprised after seeing the apparent success rate of proper injection without using a guide injection is around 40%, that so many Orthopedic doctors inject by feel. I also have a concern that the success rate of proper injection is even lower with athletes with large deltoids, after seeing an orthopedic doctor who had trouble manipulating the joint because he said I had too much muscle.
Any comments or recommendations are appreciated!
