I have recently been listening to a paul check lecture called flatten your abs forever and he talks a lot about cortisol levels. One of the things that he mentions is that caffeine can raise your cortisol levels because it creates a sort of fight or flight responce. He states how your cortisol levels drop after noon and that if you were to have a caffeine drink to workout or something around six or so it would raise your cortisol levels and through you all out of whack. Hurt your recovery and even your sleep later that night because cortisol levels had not dropped and meletoning levels have not increased like they normally do at night. I was just wondering what some of the big dawgs on the board thought of this with all of the cutting and or energy supliments out there.
Also has anyone tried the strips that you can putt under your tongue to mesure cortisol levels. I was wondering how these worked and if they would be at all worth a try.
And anyone else getting hammered with snow right now! this is nuts they are saying 2' in my parts.
