corn, now i;ve finfished with the old school routine i had i reverted to an old routine i used, butits not doing the same for me in growth and strength.....what would u reccomend as a follow on routine from your old school one. i miss getting stronger every week :<

Oh my! Stiff and deads in the same week, if one actually exerts his/her self properly you would not be able to perform these in the same week. Do stiff one week, deads the next, keep them hoes seperated, every other week.

Nope Havoc - give it a try.
Yep butthead, I'm right.

You're telling me if I do my usual weight and reps, check it real quick.

I deadlift on a Tuesday (every other tuesday),
405 for 10 reps(2 sets)
315 for 20 reps (1 set)
(Do you understand the soreness this creates)

So two days later I'm supposed to go and do stiff legs when that day is by far the worst day of PAIN, and train my legs on those days as well?
You guys must be doing some weak ass weight, cause that shit sounds fucking brutal, in a bad way, like tearing down the fibers where injury plays a huge role.

it is brutal but..it works..it's also why the program usually can't be followed for more than 4-6 weeks. It is planned overtraining.

20+ have tried it and aLL gained at least 1.5 punds per week with less than 2% increase in body fat over the course of the entire program.

Remember - it's not that many sets on the 5x5 two are warmups so it's only two sets to failure...

Sounds crazy, I could never do this though.

It could very well be beyond your recovery ability given the weights you push.

Than again....6 months ago -you would never have considered doing squats second in a workout :)

And this has nothing to do with that.
