is it just me, or do 90% of cops have Mustaches?

the state police here in LA require smooth shaven men, no facial hair allowed.

a friend of mine spent 10 years on the local police force and transferred to state, had to shave off his moustache. an improvement, actually! his wife was verry happy.

seems like the younger, smaller and thinner the local cops are, the more they grow lip hair. also the more they are assholes. some of those young barney fife punks think they are the shitz just b/c they have a uniform and a gun. makes me want to stick a pin in them and deflate their arrogance.

I have 2 buddies on the force, and they're allowed to grow mustaches, but no beard, so that might explain it.

The rule has something to do with not giving an assailant anything else to hang on to in a fight, I'm told.

The RCMp has actually the same rules as the Canadian army for hair, mustaches and beard. In other words, it must remain "clean cut"....

I get told that I look like a cop all the damn time. I have started to go along with it. People will say, I knew you were a cop, I can always tell. They don't know shit. Just like most people.
