cool 80's songs

Real Life - Send me an Angel

Dude there's too many to list here, the 80's was argueably the best decade for music.

Come on Eileen was a classic. Do you know what it's about?

I'll let you pass on Sexual Healing because it was good, but I am very sorry Gap Bands "you dropped a bomb on me" is not a good song.

If that song is good than so it Klymaxx's "Meeting in the ladies room"

Shout- Tears for fears
I wear my sunglesses at night- Cory heart
relax- Frankie Goes To Hollywood
That one that goes "Schung schung dina nina schung schung" has that little girl breaking shit while the other dudes cutting shit with a torch. Has a line that says "the hollywood squares are..... living in Disneyland"??? Anyone know what I'm talking about?

hardrock, i think you mean 'close to the edit' by art of noise. i love 80s shit. i could talk about this shit forever

my favourites that come to mind are:

duran duran - hungry like the wolf
after the fire - der kommissar
david bowie - let's dance (love this, perhaps the best 80s song period imo)

that came to mind, but i left it out. it's a fun song, perfect 80s style, but i discriminate against them because they did 'come sail away'.

and golden earring - twilight zone

maybe some zz top, and also greg kihn band - jeopardy.

shit never ends.

oh don't forget eddie grant - electric avenue
and thompson twins - hold me now

stop me before i list them all.

classic.

Anyone remember Timex Social Club - Rumors?

Hear the one about Michael, some say he must be gay
I try to argue, but they said if he was straight he wouldn’t move that way

Or Club Nouveau - Jealousy

Both those songs rock. Anyone know the connection?

off the top of my head:

as the days go by - talking heads
beat it, billy jean - michael jackson
the entire "appetite for destruction" album
we're not gonna take it - twisted sister
come on feel the noise - quiet riot
dr feelgood - motley crue
end of the world - REM
bad medicine - bon jovi
blinded by the light - manfred mann
china girl, major tom - david bowie

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis
fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before
that I really didn't understand any of their work. It was too
artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins'
presence became more apparent.

I think "Invisible Touch" is the group's undisputed
masterpiece.

It's an epic meditation on intangibility, at the
same time it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding
three albums.

Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks,
Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance
of every instrument.

In terms of lyrical craftsmanship and sheer
songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism.

Take the lyrics to "Land of Confusion." In this
song, Phil Collins addresses the problem of abusive political
authority.

"In Too Deep" is the most moving pop song of the 1980s about
monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting.
Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything
I've heard in rock.

Phill Collins solo efforts seem to be more commercial and
therefore more satisfying in a narrower way, especially
songs like "In the Air Tonight" and "Against
All Odds."

But I also think that Phill Collins works better
within the confines of the group than as a solo artist-and
I stress the word artist. This is "Sussudio," a great,
great song, a personal favorite.
