Cooking my gear

I have 2 10 ml vials of "someones" deca. I would like cook them but when i do a search everyones answers contradict each other. What Degree's for how long? Oven or Boil? Do I need to put a syringe thru the top?

yes syringe oven 200 for 1 hour should be way to much hehe

If you are cooking to sterilize then bake at 250 for 10-15 min. remove from oven, let sit for 5 min and then repeat two more times. No needle in the top, that is for removing excess alcohol.

I would be leary about leaving a needle through the top, I have heard of the rubber becomming permanenty damaged(ie a hole left behind) after heating. I would simply slid vial out of oven every 5 minutes or so and stick a needle through to ventilate it for a couple seconds then slid it back in oven.

once again, no needle is needed. I've done this many times with fina and there are no problems.

For the gear and for sterility?

I mean, does it defiently work, and will it not damage the gear?
