Those sun conures are mean bastards! I use to try to hold them at the pet store but the freaking birds would bite teh shit out of hands and arms when I wanted to put them back. The people there had to get some special handling gloves to get the bird off me. It would try to bite them too.

I dislike those birds. I'm scared of many birds anyways.

They weren't properly socialized yet... you need to get a handfed bird, not a breeder, if you want an affectionate pet, and socialize it. I've gotten Legolas out of his biting habit...it took a bit of work...

Also the birds can sense that you are uncomfortable with them. The other thing to rememebr is, they are very terriorial of their cages. I'm the only person who can put their hand in Legolas's cage.

He only got a little. Normally all he gets are his special pellets, forumulated for conures, raw veggies, and spray millet.
