no thanks. Ive been there done that. I supervised people for years. I even supervised the supervisors. F*^&^ that! I have no patience for people. I like to do my job and not be concerned or responsible for other peoples lack of intelligence. Especially in this field. These are people's (children's) lives we are talking about here. I dont want to end up on the front page of the Tribune.

Very true. Its pretty bad when the supervisor somehow thinks she is not ultimately responsible for her workers incompetence. If someone is not or cannot do their job, it's your responsibility to make sure they get it done or fire their ass.

I went to buy a guide book about one of the Glaciers here, the language version was obscured by the plastic wrapper on the book.

"Please, I need to remove the plastic to see if I can read it."

"Nope, sorry, you need to buy it first."

"But you have no other books in English, if this one isnt in english, I cant return it, you have nothing to replace it with."

This woman needed to get on the stick and take responsiblity for this potential sale: to make a DECISION that required using her BRAIN.

THAT is a sad state of affairs.


Have you ever called the I.N.S. or the I.R.S. for any reason and actually needed someone to make a DECISION about something? Totally crippled by their mandated inablility to take responsibility.
