Confused about supplementation...

I'm considering adding some supplements to my routine/diet as I get burned out easily and possible overtrained. I'm wondering if adding some supplements will help...Also I want to add strength and lose fat.

But I'm confused about what to take....

N02? Creatine? Something in the am & pm -- after workout??

What to do? Plus I'm concerned about the safety of said products...

If you are overtraining, then you should back off on the volume, not try to compensate with supplements. Having said that, most people have good luck with creatine. NO2 goes either way; to the best of my knowledge you get better pumps but that is where it ends, plus it's expensive. Most supplements are bunk. Protein, fish/flax oil, creatine, and a MVI are pretty reliable stapes.

Now that I re-read my post I don't mean overtrained but more tired after workout, like I'm used up (which may be normal) but I wasn't sure if taking a protein shake right when done would have me feeling better (with adds to the shake like simple carb & creatine)

"but more tired after workout, like I'm used up "

Could be too much volume (training) or frequency of training or not enough carbs in your overall diet to maintain muscle glycogen and/or liver glycogen levels. Particularly pre-workout meals (within 24 hrs). Post workout protein drink is fine, followed by a mixed meal an hour or so later.

NO2 products are nothing more than arginine (mostly alpha-ketoglutarate). Nothing special, precusor to nitric oxide (NO) a vasodilator. Safe, does little other than add to a pump and is expensive.

Creatine, helps with high intensity work, repeated bouts, not much good if muscle glycogen is gone however. Safe and cheap (monohydrate).

W6 -- thanks for joining in....

I want to lose more bf -- per my tanita scale (which I know can be off) I'm stuck at 24%. I'm mostly satisfied with my muscle mass but would like to shed some bf.

So in addition to 3-4 days a week of weights & the same of cardio -- walk/jog to/from the gym to avoid the cardio crowd

In addition to calcium & a scrip med I have to take & the protein I consume -- at least my weight in protein per day...........I was thinking some supplementation may help or no?

jenZ- a couple of quick ones

supps for bf loss:
1) T-rex from the anafit store
2) basic ECA stack - a bit harsher, but helps your shed some weight.
3) One more suppliment - for some strength/muscle buildup - try some 19-nor 250 by AST (it is one step below deca, but it is legal)

Promatrix Oxobol is another nor-andro prohormone with a different delivery system. One of my female clients is trying it. Been on if for about 4 weeks, 2 caps/d. No sides, but some increases in strength and lean mass. Nothing like the real deal, but more gains than she was experiencing and working with her diet.

As most of you know I'm not a big prohormone fan for male or females, but the PM Oxobol seems to be OK, at least for now (no sides, yet some mild anabolic effects). Will keep you all posted.

But, as with the real stuff, it only works best when everything else is optimal (training and diet).

Remember though, prohormones can have some side effects, same as some AAS, so legal as they may be, the health sides can be an issue in those that wish to avoid them.

W6 when should one consider the use of prohormones?
Training and diet seem for me to be taking a long time to nail down.
Im wondering if some of us could become impatient with our natural results and turn to these supps prematurely.
I guess what I want to know is what method can be used to gage when to introduce help.
