Confused about night time protein

Im using optimum nutritions 100%whey right now and was wondering if its ok to take it before i go to sleep?Ive done a search on this subject and alot of people say to take a Caseinate/whey mix.....
Do i really need to take that, or can i just use what i have?
 
Hey this is the only time i agree w/ DDC. That IMO is the best. Your 2nd choice would be Cassein. But if you could eat food (protein only) do it. Turkeye, chicken, cottage cheese, etc.

you could also add flax seed oil
 
I forgot to add that... a Tablespoon of flax would go good w/ it. Oh no! We'll be entering the realm of Anabolism... can anyone take it? lol.
 
you have read that it is better to take casein, b/c it is absorbed slower than whey, whey is absorbed quickly and you will have energy, but not need it as you will be going to bed, thus it will get stored as fat if it is not used by the body; dont misinterpret this though im not saying it is going to cause you to get fat. i really dont think you need to worry about it that much though, i think having the whey is better than nothing.
