Does any have any suggestions for a program which cleans your drive so it can not be used as evidence against you?
If you are using an anonymous web based email account then if you should be covering your tracks when dealing with certain matters. I plan on giving my computer a good washing and plan on doing so every time I send or receive sensitive information.

Evidence Eliminator - it completely removes the files you choose, including cleaning out the registry.

For those that don't know, even a formatted hard drive can be restored to find specific data. This program will completely remove what you don't want to be found. I'm sure there are others but there's a crack on the web for this one so you can get it for free.

well this is kinda my area since im a systems admin, there is real no way of cleaning your drives, best suggestion is a big magnet or a big hammer, but if those are out of the question just kill the partition, it will atleast have to be sent to a crime lab to get what data is one it off, and If your doing something that would constitute the police to do that then I'd rather not give you advise

there not gonna send your computer to a fbi crime to see if you are ordering juice online, you know how much they pay those people, they would not waste there time on stuff like that.

PGP has a drive wipe utility, it's free.

I agree. Windows ME is the most fucking unstable operating system ive ever seen in my life! windows 3.1 was better.
