Computer help please!

Ever since my computer crashed I don't get any sound from it. The hardware profile says everything is functioning properly. If I go to a website that has sound associated with it I can hear it but nothing from my computer. Any ideas?

Make sure you don't have anything muted on your volume control. Also, I had this exact same thign happen recently, when I made some softwear changes... and kept thinking it was my comupter, but it was actaully the speakers. I bought new one's and haven't had a problem since.

Pull the sound card out, rub mayonaise on the connector pins and try it then.

Although if you're using one of those E-Machines, try Miracle Whip, it's lower in calories.

Speakers work fine, like I said when I pulled up this website I could hear music.

I'd do a little test. Play an MP3. Also see if you can here still midi file. If yes on both than there is probably a problem with the website you are trying to look at.
