I was using windown media player..........burt a song by accident and now I can not add any songs to the disk, nor can I remove the song that was burnt.....not a huge deal, but if I don't have to scrap the disk, all the better.....thanks for the help!

if it's a CD-R that's it. It's a done deal. CD-Rs are write once. If you fuck up the you throw it out. What's the issue? CD-Rs are like 10 cents a piece.

Most people can't see the forrest through the trees.

This is what I'm wagering happened:

Got new computer at work with CD-R.

After several heated e-mails, user got the IT dept to give him a CD-R disk.

User fucks it up (don't they always?) and is too ashamed to ask his IT dept for another one and is hoping a bodybuilding chat board will provide insight.

It took "Gurus" to answer this question ??

I.T. Guru advice...

Hit up your local office supply store on the way home.
You can buy an entire spindle (aka A Shit load) of CD R blank disk for like $5

This will give you many practice disks to get it right..

Maybe I'm slow. Why would anyone send heated emails to their IT department for one CD-R?

I have several in my inbox from a few months ago when Dell started shipping their PCs with CD-R's instead of straight CD-ROMs.

Basically, people send in a request not realizing that most IT depts do not supply CD-R's anymore than they supply staples. After being told that their dept head needs to order them some, they get pissy and surly and suggest we have some incredible stock-pile of CD-Rs and are trying to manipulate the free market somehow by with-holding them.

IT guys, sensing weakness pounce on said user with witty replies inferring the user simply use their Usher CD to burn data to.

This results in the user asking them why they can't write to their Usher CD.........

Eventually, the COO and I get CC'ed on the thread and the dept head runs to Media Play to buy stacks of CD-Rs.

I haven't worked an IT deptment in years and CD burning wasn't the thing back then. Burners where $200 and 4x Max back then. I think CD-R were about a dollar. People already steal so much from their jobs (surf when they are supposed to be working, making personal long distance calls, using the mail machine for personal use so I guess it could make sense for them to think their job is supposed to hook them up with CD-Rs. I'm just glad I don't run a company with an office. I'd definately want to be bitch slappin' some people. Then against when I worked for someone I was the one doing all that shit I just mentioned.

Either the CODE scenario, or your company has an over priced Supply
Window setup where you can simply call them, give them your Dept number
and location in the bldg and they will gladly deliver you a spindle of CD R's
right to your desk for a mere $59
