Computer folks: question about "capturing" music streaming from a web page

When you visit a web page that has, lets say, Quicktime streaming some music...is there any way to download it onto your comp and turn it into an mp3 file?

There is some music I want for my iphone that isnt available to the public but the companies have it available to listen to on web pages.

There are some free/pay downloads that do this. I found one for my boss a few months ago. Search for them; something like save asf stream.
