Computer and HDTV guys...little help...

resolution on a 55" TV sux bro...

You'll get like 1280x768 or something and with that big of a screen, IMO it doesn't look good...

It may be good for showing pictures of showing the family a website, but not good for regular usage.

Plus... Pick3 is gaye as fuck.

that cable should work

you could always get an S-Video cable for cheap - but wont look as good as component RCAs

it's high for a TV, but not for a monitor trust me...

You'll get 1280x768 out of it...

Where is I get 2500x1600 out of my 30" monitor.

1280x768 on my 42" TV - with computer hook up - does not look good and is not usable for daily computer usage.

1280x768 on a 55" is going to be EVEN more washed out.

I'd but the cable, it's usefull, but don't get your hopes up and think that it's going to be a good daily use as a computer monitor.

yeah I tried that but you have to drop the resolution down to 800*600 and it looks blurry.

LOL... imagine that. 1280x768 stretched to 55" is going to look blury as well.

to utilize that type of TV would require one heck of a video card

Wrong.

1280x768 is something any run of the mill video card can handle... tis nothing.

Yeah but I have my computer monitor set at 1024*768 anyway though so that should so clearly on my tv no??

I dont think so, its just shooting the video out to a different source, not processing anything any more.

1280x768 on your computer monitor looks good because it's on a 19" monitor.

Stretch that same number of physical pixels out to 55" and it's going to look washed out and blurry.

See what 800x600 looks like on your monitor and compare that to 800x600 on your TV... they aren't the same thing.

With larger displays the more resolution you need to make things look good.
