comic book conventions?

i went to one in Philly a long time ago, they're prety fun. I remember I used to spend 30 bucks on comics a week and sit around and learn how to draw.

it was (if you're takling about reading comics and learning to draw). the storylines were great (at least they seemed it when i was younger). And the artwork was amazing for the most part.

BTW I have every single Image comic ever done from when they first came out up until about a year and a half to two years later..

Last time I was at combic book convention I was 15 or 16 years old. I remember stealing a few comic books when people weren't lookin'. Ah the good ol days. I was bad. Wait a minute. I still am.

there would have been all kinds of b movie actresses, and maybe some porno stars. you get to see some celebrities at comic cons. I haven't been to one in a few years, but watch out for the trekkies, and the anime kids.

When I used to collect, I went to several here in town.

It's kinda like the Foxworthy joke...if you ever want to feel good about yourself, go to a convention.

Lots of unwashed geeks, a few normal collectors.

HAHAHA my friends and i used to do the same thing. we'd bring a stack of comics with us to the show like we were trying to sell them or whatever. if we spotted a comic we wanted we would set our stack on top of it and act like we were looking through the comics. when no one was looking we would just pick up our stack with the comic we were stealing underneath and walk away. i got some kick ass valiant comics that i never would have been able to aford at that age.

topic: i havnt been to a show since i was 14 or so. i still have all my old comics at my moms house though.

i haven't been to a comic book convention in years but the time i did go was pretty cool. they had tons of cheap books to buy there too. you just had to look around to find them.
