At my school, a mass communication has different areas that you can concentrate on. There is journalism, broadcasting, advertising, and public relations. You have to major in mass comm., but you concentrate on one of those areas. Mine is journalism so I know this stuff.
Aww, can't you be nice to a girl? I've had a bad day. Don't make me hate my major any more than I do. Well, maybe hate is too strong a word. Unsure is much better. But you could really try and make a girl feel better you know. Sigh.
Any communications degree is related to fields such as public relations, television, sometimes sales. Basically you need to be good at communicating with a large number of people. You need to be articulate and able to speak to a large number of people with confidence.
But the number one thing that is necessary for a "good" job in communications...you need to be physically attractive.
I've know three guys that graduated last year with a communications degree that are not the best looking by a long shot and all three are living with their parents because they cant find jobs.
I also know three beautiful girls with the same degree and guess what? All three had multiple job offers.
A beautiful woman who is also intelligent and well spoken is a tremendous asset to any company.
I can't just major in journalism. It is a concentration of Mass Communications here. So in order to to study journalism, I have to major in Mass. Comm. It's stupid I know. I don't see the point in just not having a journalism major. And a broadcasting major, and so on. Oh well. I suppose that's just my twisted logic. And as far as the fafsa goes, I didn't get nearly enough if that tells you anything.
It really just depends on all the financial information you put down on there. Parents' income, your income if any, just crap like that. It varies from student to student. There's no telling how much you can get.
