Coldplay has done it again

I know most of you here only listen to metal, but hopefully you can appreciate good music when you hear it. The new Coldplay album X&Y is a fantastic followup to their second release A Rush of Blood to the Head. It is a different album however so if you're expecting A Rush pt 2, you won't like it, but its certainly has that great chilled out Coldplay sound. Perfect for when you're chilling with the gf or going for a run by the beach... so check it out.. releases June 8th

Musical taste is subjective. There is no good or bad on an universal level, only on a personal.

Yeah, don't continue on with the debate I sparked. This Coldplay thread was sooooo much more interesting before I arrived.

Not really a fan of their music. Just like with the AC/DC, people seem to say all their songs sounds the same.

British pop/rock is usually the most boring music there is. Oasis, Blur etc.

Coldplay's music isn't what you'd listen to at the gym, but that doesn't make them boring. They have talent, which is lacking in much of modern music.

You could keep the homeless warm for years with all the dumb blanket statements in this thread.

they have unbelievable songwriting talent... UNBELIEVABLE... i think their previous albums are manifiiiqueee but the new one... i'm kinda so/so on it at this point. It's definitely not as timeless and perfected as their last ones... i'll give it time though.

i dont think anyone will disagree with you there

and ZK i know what you mean, its sort of lacking that je ne sais quoi that The Scientist and Yellow offered previous albums, but check out What If, Fix You, and Talk on X&Y... they've defintly had an impression on me

How come we've gone this entire thread without mentioning Trouble or Warning Sign?

They're good at catchy near ballads with a touch of melancholy. Everything else is so...so...blah.

Wesley Willis is hilarious. His Casio will always have a place in my heart. But there's more to him than just hilarity. Drop the preconceived notions and listen to him with an open mind while considering his surroundings and mental state. You'll get more out of it.

SUCK A CHEETAH'S DIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK!

Thanks, next time I hear the verse "eat a llamas anus out with worcestershire sauce" I'll try to analyze it better lol.

The Net needs sarcasm flags.

This is the song that I'm gonna rap about
It's called that "I'm Sorry That I Got Fat (I Will Slim Down)"
This is the song that is reminding me that I'm fixing to lose weight and go on a strict diet

The first time when I got fat, I was eating those fatty hamburgers, fries, and all that
That's why I'm gonna do something about it right now
And this is the song that I just wrote about "I'm Sorry That I Got Fat (I Will Slim Down)"
So here it goes right now

Before I got fat, I was slim
That was this time when I was eating McDonalds
I kept eating McDonald's for five years from 1987
To 1991
That's when I became fat; a year later, I'm doing something about it

I'm sorry that I got fat
I'm sorry that I got fat
I'm sorry that I got fat
I will slim down

I've been trying to lose weight
But it's time-taking
It's been time-taking, but I'm fixing to stay away from Wendys, Burger King, and McDonalds, plus White Castles
That's what I'm going to do, and that's that

I'm sorry that I got fat
I'm sorry that I got fat
I'm sorry that I got fat
I will slim down

I'm getting tired of eating McDonalds
That's the same as I'm tired of eating Wendys, Burger King, White Castle, and other places
Let me tell you when and how I'm losing weight

I'm sorry that I got fat
I'm sorry that I got fat
I'm sorry that I got fat
I will slim down

From now on, I'm staying away from fatty foods
And eating healthy foods
And going on a strict diet

I'm sorry that I got fat
I'm sorry that I got fat
I'm sorry that I got fat
I will slim down
I'm sorry that I got fat
I'm sorry that I got fat
I'm sorry that I got fat
I will slim down
I'm sorry that I got fat
I will slim down
I'm sorry that I got fat
I will slim down
I will slim down
I will slim down
I will slim down
I will slim down
I will slim down
I will slim down
I will slim down
I will slim down
I will slim down
I will slim down
I'm sorry that I got fat
I will slim down
Thank you

x and y is the album of the year by a country mile, best album ive heard in years, the last 2 albums were hard to follow, its always hard to follow up great albums but they have done it, cough cough oasis, they bombed after whats the story morning glory, i say that and im a huge oasis fan.

x and y has a very u2 sound to it for me, especially the guitar riffs.
