Whats the score with coffee?
Is it good for fat loss thanks to thermogenic properties, or is it bad for fat loss due to its effect on insulin?

There have been debates over it for years: conclusion, the insulin effect is minimal at best; thus, the thermogenic properties outweigh the insulin sensitivity issues. So, it's a go...

good point MR X, caffeine has always proved to have thermogenic qualities, and coffee is very low calorie and low carb, as long as you don't juice it up with sugar and millk

since it is still a very popular product it must be efficient or it would have dissapeared or been replaced by something else

It's pretty darn good!! I got it when I was in Jamaica, so it's the real stuff & got the beans & ground them up myself. Cancun had some pretty good coffee too -- thick & strong. I hate to fly, so I don't know what I'll do when I run out..........


Tip to do with leftover coffee ---- freeze it in ice cube trays & use it for the ice cubes in your chocolate protein shake -- makes it like a mocha java thing. Very good!

That's a heck of an idea Jenscats. My girlfriend regularly makes more coffee than we'll drink and I cringe when I have to pour the leftovers down the drain. LOL I can't stand coffee heated up in the microwave. ICK!!!
