Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below I was reading the proceedure for making fina using A's kit. now one part i dont understand is the coffee filter an absolute? or is it on when the glue oxidizes. like if i leave the pellets in the magic solution for for 45min. like there supposed to be, and they dont oxidize because it only starts oxidizing after the one hour mark, i dont need the coffee filter right? i can just skip that stage or what?? thank you.

Yes, you can skip that stage if you dont let it oxidize.
Yes, There is no need for the coffee filter with the new kits. The best way to dissolve the pellets are to get a rod from A and crush the pellets while they are in the vial with the magic solution. Slightly warm the vial(not more than 100 degrees) by swirling it in some boiling water. Then crush...swirl for a few more minutes then crush...repeat this for about 5 times over a 10 min period. Then add the oil to your solution. Continue to swirl it in hot water for a few min then take out and slightly roll the solution but do not shake it, then back to the warm water...do this for about 10 - 15 min. Then turn off the burner set the vial into the water and let the mixture cool off as the water cools off. This allows any suspended glue to be pulled to the bottom where the mixture is warmer. I did mine at night so I left it over night. Then in the morning warm up the mixture a little and use the sterile filter...then watch the cows grow..heh heh.
