Codeine or Vicodin...Which is stronger??

vicodine is synthetic codiene. It does not take as much of the synthetic as it does the real thing.
 
VICODEN ES,VICODEN HP is better

the HP are 10mg,get the name brand,very good but watsons 7.5 are good also.

Becareful Max, that's how I got started! Before u know it, it takes 7, 8, or 9 to catch a buzz! And they're a pain in the ass to get off of! Before u know it u get drawn in! Later.

Hey nautica, you said that hydrocodone is synthetic codiene, and that it takes less of a synthetic to give you similar results. Does this hold true for anabolics like testosterone too? Do you think that 7.5 mgs of hydrocodone is more potent than 40mgs of codeine?
 
tylenol w/codeine always done more for me than vicodin. i have to take 2-3 vicodin to feel anything and i dont even take pills but every once in a great while.

MG for MG hydrocodiene and oxycodiene are much better than codiene.

You would have to take 50 mg of codiene to equal 10 mg of the synthetic version.
 
when my pops had some teeth removed he got a prescription to vicodin i took 2 of em and i didnt feel shit.. i even had a few shots.
 
THEY BOTH SUCK! I don't know what it is about me, but pain killers just don't work unless they're REAL strong. I had knee surgery(ACL reconstruction) and got Percocets(now, those things are the shit!), but when they ran out, all they would give me was vicodins. It was like popping 2 ibuprofen's to me. But, nothing beat the shots that I got the night after surgery. Every 3 hours got one in my quad and let me tell you, as soon as I got it, it was lights out :fro:

Just remember we are talking about vicondine, hydrocondone, oxycodone, percacets, Codiene as if they are all the same MGs.

FOR example one might take a 2 hydrocodones one time and say they did not feel shit.

Well the next time they got a script for hydrocodoe and took 3 and if fucked there world up.

Here is the reason. The first time he got 5mg hydro and the second time he got 10mg hydro. So in other words the first time he took 10 mgs of hydro and the second time he took 30 mg.

You must read the mg's before deciding the dosage.

One more thing - No matter what your doctor says - It is better to take the 10 mg than it is to take the 5 mgs because both of them have the same amount of tylenol - which is bad for the liver. So if you wanted 30 mgs using the 5 mg version than you would be taking 6 units of the tylenol. whereas if you took 30 mg using the 10 mg pill you would only be taking 3 units of the tylenol.

So the next time you doc tries to prescribe you the 5 mg. Tell him exactly that. Tell him you would rather take one 10 mg than 2 - 5 mg. If he has any sense he will understand.

I agree w/ MAX. Vicodins are LOADED with Tylenol (BAD for the liver) and they arent that strong. Go with THE ULTIMATE PAINKILLER: Oxycontin
 
what everyone needs to know is that they all have hydrocodone, but it is the APAP (Tylenol) that makes them work quicker. Vicodin has the most APAP and that is why you get a buz quicker. Lorotab has 500 APAP, so you get a buz a little slower but the buz last longer. Norco only has 325 APAP, so your buz is not much but the pain killing part last a little longer than the both above. That is why they perscribe the three different meds for different injuries. This is just from my research because I was on them for close to 5 years because of an auto accident, but always took them as perscribed so it was not that difficult getting off of them, although it was not very easo either. Good luck to all that are hooked and the best way to get off is to slowly wean yourself off of them.
 
Oxycontin is the king of the hill. After that you go to Morphine, then Dilaudid. DON"T FUCK WITH PAIN MEDS!
You will have condemned yourself to addiction if you go for more than a week or two on that shit.
 
Be careful with the vics... They are great, till I was eating em every day.. When you do stop taking em, you will go through withdrawal. Not fun at all....feels like the flu. You wont be able to move for 2 days. Trust me... Take them when necessary, thats it.
 
I just got off pain meds. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will turn into an addict very fast!!! I was on them for 4 months because of a bad accident. I keep a few around for back pain if it comes up but thats it. Like the other said, the withdraws will kick your azz. Not to mention that your liver will hate you.

percs are stronger than vics, but not like a heroin type feel you get from oxycontin.
 
after my surgery they gave my oxycotin. i got so sick that i had to back down to vicodin. good stuff but 2 be used only when necessary
 
Good advice. Use when you really need, otherwise you might like em too much. Especially if you drink. lol I have a torn labrum and some serious shoulder tendonitis....refuse to take these things anymore, god rid of what i had left, and wont touch em again. But thats only because I liked em.. stay away, but if you have real pain, use when necessary and get off em a little at a time till you are down to a half or a quarter a day...then stop.
 
I agree with swoolen_puppy.... Vico's are way better.... but man the withdrawls are just a bitch. I have a relative who has problems and she gets those vico's and then they take them away....... omg seriously just save yourself the trouble of dealing with the aftermath of it. Think about it.

Without any context for this question I am going to assume its run its course. If its doc prescribed he will give you details, if your self prescribing EF isnt the place to talk about it.
