From Westcoast-technologies.com :"The body is able to manufacture its own supply of enzymes. It can also obtain enzymes from food. In its raw state, all food contains the proper enzymes needed by the body to digest it. However, enzymes are destroyed by heat. Even low degrees of heat will destroy them, so to obtain enzymes forom food it must be eaten raw. Eating mostly cooked foods without supplementation of enzymes puts undue strain on the supply of enzymes for the body. Because enzymes are the only nutrients capable of supplying the body with energy needed for its activities, overuse can impair the body's functioning capacity and make it susceptible to cancer, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and many other illnesses.

Eating raw foods eases the burden on the body to manufacture digestive enzymes, and enables the body's supply of enzymes to work at higher capacity when needed."

BIG, I really don't like to keep doing this to ya, but you are using propaganda from a company that is selling a product. That is not support. And they are full of crap.

The human body produces tons of enzymes capable of digesting and utilizing foods. We don't drink blood to increase our hemoglobin counts, do we? No, we are fully capable of synthesizing our hemoglobin from basic building blocks. Another poster made this assertion, "if lactase is present in un-pasteurized milk, then why is lactose still present in it?" If that were true, you would not have the disaccharide, lactose, but its monomers: glucose and galactose. Aso, it would make no sense to have lactase present in cows milk, if all infant calves produce their own lactase.

If you are lactose intolerant, then don't drink milk or use lactase tablets. If you are not lactose intolerant, then milk is an acceptable food.
