Clenbuterol + beta blocker?

Would it be useful to combine clenbuterol with a beta-blocker?

Theoretically a beta blocker would reduce tachicardia and jitterness, without reducing thermogenic effects of clenbuterol.

You gotta think about the drugs you are taking here. Clenbuterol is a beta agonist which means it activates the beta cells in the body...in this case, people are taking clenbutuerol for its effect on beta 2 receptors. Originally, Clen was meant for asthmatic patients and was given because we wanted it to work on the beta 2 receptors, which are found primarily in the lungs. Activation of these receptors produced bronchodilation and asthmatic patients were able to get relief. Clenbuterol also activates beta 1 receptors which are predominantly found in the heart. This leads to some of the side effects of clen such as tachycardia and palpitations. In answer to your question, theroetically, a beta blocker might help with some of the cardiac side effects of the clen. However, it would have to be a cardiac specific beta blocker. This means that it would have to be a beta blocker that only worked on the beta 1 cells as an antagonist. Quite frankly, you do not want to be taking medications for your heart that you do not have to. They have side effects as well. Just for your knowledge, Lopressor or Toprol XL(metropolol) or Tenormin (atenalol) or Brevibloc (esmolol) are a few of the cardioselective beta 1 antagonists. Hope this helps.
