CKD supps question

New member
These questions have probably been asked a few times, but I could not find the answers using the search feature (non plat).

Psyllium husk
at 625 mg a capsule, how many should I take a day and at what interval?

R-ala
Is 100 mg a good dosage per tab?
How much should be taken?
Should it be taken to help one get into ketosis or should I save them for carb ups?

besides those, keto stix, multi vits and flax/udos oils what other supps should I procure while on CKD?

Feel free to add any other CKD advise that think would be helpful to some one just starting the diet (me).

Thanks in advance peeps.

Psyllium Husk - 20g's per day is a good dose given you don't have any other sources of fiber in your diet (pretty fucked up diet I'd venture to say)
r-ALA - 100mg per 20-30g's of carbs seems like a sensible and conventiannaly accepted dose

I have seen reports where users claimed r-ALA helped them induce ketosis - however this only constitutes anecdotal evidence; you are free to give it shot though :o

Thanks Juve

I'll be eating plenty of broc and spinach since I can eat a relatively large amount of them and still keep within CKD carb tolerance. I see now how psyllium husk should be supplemented.

smarter to use R-ALA on carb ups, got ya.

Epedrine and caffeine is a miracle on CKD for appetite supressing and extra energy. On the few days I didn't take it I felt absolutely terrible, even 2 weeks in to this ckd. I couldn't get by without it.
