I've been doing the CKD thing by Mr. X's fat/protein ratio recommendations, and it's good....
I have 6 meals a day, and try to make them 3 hours apart.
Meal 1: 6:30am
Meal 2: 9:30am
Meal 3: 12:30pm
Meal 4: 3:30pm
Meal 5: 6:30pm
Meal 6: 9:30pm
Problem:
a) I'm having a meal IMMEDIATELY before bed.
b) I like to go to bed earlier than 9:30pm, and so often I'm having meals 5 and 6 earlier.... so meals 4, 5 and 6 are closer together. Sometimes only 2 hours apart, or even 1 1/2 hours etc.
Is it okay to have meals immediately before bed on a CKD diet? And is it okay to have the meals with a shorter time between them? Or is it better to have only 5 meals for the day and combine meals 5 and 6?
