I had a couple of questions before starting this diet and if it is the right one for me. After reading all of Mr.X's articles and other posts i figure that this probably would be the best diet to start out on. Currently i weight train about 4 to 5 times per week, and will start a cardio regimen according to the suggested guidelines laid out in the diet specs.
At the moment im just trying to eat clean, (tuna, chicken breast and lean beef) separating my carbs from protein and fat, with a caloric defiency but i think im willing to try something different like the CKD diet for awhile.
Currently I am pretty overweight, but i enjoy weightlifting so much that i dont want to give it up, and so i think that the carb up day is the best way to be in ketosis all week long, but still be able to have the energy to workout consistently.
Is the CKD diet the way to go for me?
My second question would be sources for fat and protein. Normally ill eat tuna / chicken breast / sirloin and of course protein powder (whey) as my protein sources. However good sources of fat are still a mystery to me. What types of fat are great and where are they readily available?
And finally, when taking carbs post workout, what kinds of carbvs should i be taking?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Happy Holidays!
