36hr erection drug for sale

FROM today Australian men will be among the first in the world to access a new 36-hour erection drug being marketed as a rival to Viagra.
The timeframe may sound a bit scary for wives and partners but the makers of Cialis, Eli Lilly, stress the drug requires sexual stimulation to take effect.
Cialis is available on prescription, with a four-pill pack costing about $75.
Compared with Viagra, which is taken one hour before sex and lasts for about four hours, Cialis begins to work in 16 minutes and provides couples with one and a half days of opportunity.
Dr Michael Gillman, from Brisbane's Health Institute for Men, said Cialis worked in the same way as Viagra by targeting the PDE5 enzyme to increase blood flow to the penis during stimulation.
It was not affected by food or moderate alcohol consumption, unlike Viagra which was best taken on an empty stomach, he said.
On the down side, Cialis can cause headaches and stomach upsets.
It can also be deadly if taken with nitrates, which are used for the treatment of angina and are popular in the gay community as recreational drugs.
Men who could not have sex because of cardiovascular problems should also steer clear of the drug, Dr Gillman said.
"The people who shouldn't take either Cialis or Viagra are the same, they're the people who are either on nitrate therapy ... or those who are not cardiovascularly fit for sex," he said.
Cialis will not be included in the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) in line with the federal government's decision last year to exclude erectile dysfunction drugs - including Viagra and Caverject injections - from PBS listing.
Cialis reportedly caused a minor controversy last year when the Cialis family, of Kent, England, learned to their horror that they were about to share the name of an erection drug.
Eli Lilly expressed sympathy with the family but decided to stick with the name.
It says the name is a play on the expression "the sky's the limit", based on the French word for sky.
