I beleive it was a scare tactic used to try to stop the shippment of powders to the US. It worked for a couple weeks, causing some powder suppliers to close shop, but other than that it's going to keep coming.

I would hardly call it over with all the chinese guys that were arrested. Also, it may just be a better idea to trust your source and not post on open boards about this stuff right now.
