When we lived on acreage we got a few Chickens just because.

Stupid birds refused to roost up off the ground at night.
Each evening around 2am we would hear one at a time get
snatched by a fox or something.
Took about a week for them all to get carried off.

I want a chicken too!! On my vacation there were these two chickens that were soooo cute. Every night they went to sleep on this gate. You had to pass the gate to go anywhere in the resort. They would just sleep and people would come up to pet them. They were so cute!!!
