Test Cyp 100mg/week for the past 8 weeks (HRT). I've been on HRT for about 9 months now and was previously at 400mg/e3w.

I'll be seeing my doc next week about this. I'm not having any problems with hair loss, but my sex drive seems way down lately and I've been feeling lightheaded.

I'd imagine that we'll wanna put me on finasteride or maybe saw palmetto. Can DHT levels that are this high be effectively treated with saw palmetto? I'd prefer to take it over finasteride because it's cheap and available OTC. Getting my ins company to cover finasteride will probably involve a fight.

My estrogen look good though...but I understand that high levels of DHT act as an aromatase inhibitor?

My doc is following Dr Crisler (Swale's) HRT protocol. I started HCG this week (250iu 2x per week), but I was not on HCG yet in any of these tests.

Consider checking your PSA. You'll have much better luck getting a finasteride script for prostate than hairloss.

PSA was part of the group of tests until the last one. It was always 0.9 or 1.0 or less...range is < 4.0. I had a prostate exam last year (great fun ) and my doc said I was ok.

I'd imagine that this much DHT is not good for me though, right?

bro there is still way too much variability in your hormone levels. you need to be injecting twice per week to even things out.

as far as your dht goes I would not worry about it too much until you even out your levels. the other thing is why bother with the hcg? it just causes more fluctuations. seems pointless while on hrt.

The HCG is added as part of Swale's protocol to keep your nuts working and to help stabilize the Testosterone fluctuations. It is taken on days 6 and 7. The Test Cyp is taken on day 1. There is some fluctuation there, but part of it is due to the fact that I intentionally went on days that were 1 day after the injection 2 days after, 3 days after, 6 days after, etc...just to get an idea of how much of a dip was there.

I guess some people are prone to losing lots of hair with high DHT levels, but I'm not one of them. I kinda wonder if it being so high is the reason that my sex drive is laggin'....too much of a good thing?
