Check my pics..cut or bulk. help!

Short story. I lost 100 pounds in the past 2 years. Got to 173. Bulked to 205. Cut down to 179(currently). Still have that damn loose skin in lower stomach. Still have some fat to lose but people tell me I am thin and I am getting weak. I am sick of being frail. I am 6 foot, clean lifter. I am eating 2150 calories, 80 efa fat, 215 protien, 100 carbs. All post workout and 50 grams of oats 1 hour after lifting. 100 total plus odds and ends from spinach and greens. Cardio, every morning (but Sunday. on empty belly at 70% MHR joggin for 50 minutes. Chest and is Monday night, Legs Tuesday night,heavy bag Wed. night, Back and tris Thursday night , Shoulders,traps and calves Friday night, heavy bag Saturday night. Sunday off. I eat about 600 carbs Sunday and body weight in protien for about 2800 calories. Need help! Fell like shit, flat, weak but I still have that lower flab in the stomach but I do not want to get any thinner, people are talking about crack around me, I hate that. They say you cannot get like that without drugs, anyway, check the photos and tell me what you think. Here are the links.....

Thanks for the reply. Here is the only photo at 290 I could find. It is not hard to make me out. My mom said, look how far you have come, quit worrying. Maybe she is right. Here is the photo link.

She's your mom dude, they say things like that. Doesnt mean it's right tho.

imo dont 'bulk' unless you're planning an AAS cycle as you're obviously a serious endo and will end up as a fat bastard if you do a bulking diet.

if you really must bulk then try to get your bf% down a lot more before you try it

imo just keep doing what you're doing... props for the fat loss so far
 
i'd say bulk.

BUT, it has to a very clean bulk, or you'll end up going back to cutting soon, and yo-yo-ing back and forth will never get you where you wanna be.

so i'd go with a bulking diet that is only a little over maintainence, eating clean foods. your muscle gains will be slower that way, but the fat gain will be ALOT LESS.
 
Thanks. I planned on doing a 4 day split. M-T-TH-F with HIIT sprinting and punching bag for 25 minutes on Wednsday and Saturday. I am planning on eating brakfast before the cardio and of cours weights. I will have 50 G complex pre cardio and lift and 60 post by way of dextrsoe and then 1 hour later have 50 G more of oats and then clean protien and veggies and efa's the rest o the day. maybe a lean 8 oz. steak for dinner, you know, something to look forward to. I plan on eating about 2800-3000 calories a day with maint. calories Sunday and up my carbs a bit, 400 or so (clean). That shold not put to uch fat on me. Does anyone advocate cardio after weights before my meal. I read it could be bad for lean mass gains. After a few weeks I will add about 30 G of maltodextrin 1/2 hour pre lift and maybe 30-40 more complex for my 3rd pwo meal. Does this sound logical. Thanks for the replys, I really appreciate it.

Congrats on your success so far. You have a lot to be proud of. If you decide to bulk, take a look at the diet I just posted, I think it would be a good one for you to follow. I've thought a lot about it and know others on this board will help make it even better. For you I probably would keep the fruit out of the plan however.

Another thing to consider is that everyone who knows you is prob use to you being a massive guy at almost 300 pounds. Now that you are so lean, they might just be concerned that your getting obsessed with loosing weight, ect..
 
Great job so far. I think your diet looks good. What I'd suggest by looking at your pics is regarding your training. Go hard at the gym. Kill your arms. Go heavy! Intensity!

Dude has made INCREDIBLE progress....props bro.....However, he can't afford to lose any more bf.......he feels weak and flat, and is rib cage is clearly shown. My advice is to bring up the carbs...add some oats am and a yam in your next couple of meals.....put on 10-15lbs, then we'll cut CORRECTLY!
 
Thanks for the comps. My buddy said that if I put on some muscle slowly bt eating 3 or 400 calories over main. that my body would fill out nicely. I am just scared. I have the nutrition down but this damn flab in my lower abs. I am to the point that I just say screw it. Lift like a mofo and get strong anf big. If everything i do always comes back to abs, then I have to change. I want to be a man, not a weenie always worried about abs. What kinf of rep schemes and sets do you guys perscribe for mass? I usually work with 6-8 but I think lately my form is suffering bad becasue I think that the heavier it is the stronger I get but my form might be going to shit.

Hey bro,

it may be some extra skin just sitting there because you lost so much weight.

Maybe if you gain a few pounds it will tighten up a bit? just a thought

Dude, don't worry about that flab. Sometimes, and it's likely in your case, that last bit of flab around the waist takes f o r e v e r to go away. I still have some of that too.

Your body just doesn't want to use that fat yet. I'm sure it figures it might be in trouble cause it's currently missing what looks like about 300lbs of body fat that it had before now. (Awsome work dude!!!!!!!! Be proud, you deserve it!!!!). Don't worry about that last bit, like jkurz said, "you can see your ribs". If you do a CLEAN bulk and add some muscle, that extra flab will slowly dissapear. Remember, the best long term weight loss solution is to add some muscle which burns more calories just sitting there.

Further, when you start to add some bulk to your upper body and legs (don't forget your wheels dude!) that flab will not be as noticable as is slowly dissapears. Just stay clean, lift hard, and sleep well, and as you bulk up things should improve.

That however is just my opinion and there are of course alot of them on this board.

Good suggestions, however, it's easier said than done.........being scared to get fat (esp. cause you were there) is normal and something very hard to overcome......I'm having the same problem so I'm of no use........practice what I preach, not what I do....... :verygood:
 
Wow bro! Your before and after is incredible.. I tip my hat off to you for such an amazing transformation. Id have to say look in the mirror and decide for yourself what you want. If you want to gain more.. I agree with jkurz. Since your down from 290 I woudl start carefully packing on some lean mass where you want it.. Then when you are ready, go for the cut.

Awesome work bro!! I would say start to increase your calories by 500 calories at first for a few weeks... if you notice a few lbs a week of gained mass thats great and keep it , and if you not increasing in mass then up the calories, increase carbs slowly and i think the fat calories are fine right now. Keep up the great work and let us hear about your progress!
