I got the idea from HI.

Post some good cheap date ideas.... yeah, yeah.. get budwieser for $5 and have sex... that is not what I am looking for...I want some good ideas.

the best has to be the fake cast at
the bar routine...

women are suckers for pity...

its not cheap, it negative expenditure
with a suitable story for why you broke
either the arm, leg or whatever...

they'll pick up the tab for everything...

by the way dballer, why do you log out after
each post???

nature trail walk in late autumn *works great here in the northeast im sure* nice colored leaves, if theres a lake near by even better, bring a blanket and chill under a tree with hot chocolate in a thermos :-p

hows that?

Pre-cook a meal.
Get some wine and have a picnic.

Go star gazing.

You took mine, dammit!:) I went to a state park with a girl on a first date. We took a trail and it ended up at this awesome 80' waterfall. It was gorgeous. Of course, we left college for the year two weeks later, and the next time I saw her it was on "Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire?". Shanti Williams- she made it to the top five. Suffice it to say that I'm glad we didn't get any closer.

Here are some fun dates I have used when I had little to no money...

get 2 squirt guns and play a chase game in a office complex.. or in the mall

throw milkshakes on gay people.

Fill up your car with gas and try to get lost.

board games.. kinda lame.. but could be creative.

and although it costs some money.. drive somewhere far away and get a hotel and hang out there and watch movies and drink sodas.

go into a public place and see who can start a conversation with a stranger person.

go pick mushrooms.. (hard to do if you do not know where to look)

My favorite dates are cheap dates. That's when you get to know the person instead of their money.

Some of these you can make an entire date out of, others you have to pair up with some other activity, depending on how the date is going.

- coffee shop -- caffeine, conversation, and desert

-walking in the woods
better yet,

-walking in the woods where there's a creek so you can sit on some rocks and talk and throw rocks in the water

-go canoeing

-take your dogs or borrow a friend's dog to the park and play frisbee or ball.

-go for a drive to some little town you've never been to and bring all your favorite CDs

-browse in a bookstore and read silly things you see out loud to each other

-find a huge toystore to play in

-go to the airport and hang out and people watch

- stargazing -- find out where your local astronomy club is hosting their next event.

Yeah, but how do you propose these date ideas? I mean, do you show up at her door with a rose and a couple of SuperSoakers, or what? LOL. Really though, I would feel like such an ass saying something like "I know this orchard that's just sooooo beautiful this time of year. And you should taste the apples- they're absolutely delicious! Here, let's use this beautiful basket (that I just picked up at Home Depot for $12.95) and gather some of this fine fruit." With my luck, she slip in a cow pie or we'd walk up on the farmer's son banging the hell out of Sally Sue the 4H queen.

that goes without saying.

How about catching all the beavers you can find and watching them build the dam for you?

How about going to the airport and out into the runway and stealing one of the little golf carts and playing chicken with the airplanes?

No cass, it has to be a surprise!!!! You show up at the door, and you just take her. If she bitches about it, at least you had a good time and didn't spend alot of money on her. lol.

Wow!!!! Amen brother. Any one of the finger lakes, Saranac lake, Mendon ponds, 7th lake, I could go on and on and on. Though I prefer to bring wine, fruit, and cheese.

Definately one of the benefits of living in this area.

LOL. Just wanted to let y'all know that I posted on this thread in jest. :D Nothing personal meant to anybody.:D

take a walk by the ocean, let her wear your jacket. find a nice place to sit and talk about everything under the moon. if you can afford it, maybe you could bring some wine, cheese and crackers. if not, two diet cokes and a twix will do...just make it fancy:)

Dballer,

1) Go to the Braves Game and buy the $5 tickets.

2) High Museum of art is pretty damn good.

3) Downtown Rocks or On the Bricks is free

4) The Atlanta Zoo is not bad

5) There are several great spots on the Chattahoochee for a daytime date

6) There is a labyrinth off of Peachtree that is cool as shit (free)

7) The Atlanta Botanical Gardens (either free or $5 a piece)

8) Piedmont Park

9) Batting cages

10) There's a restaurant/sports bar in Marietta off of 92 that also has a driving range

Drags in Commerce tomorrow night

I really want to go to that one.. but I got a date and she does not want to go. I told her I would even let her touch my tooter if we could go.. but she said she does not really like cars.

So I am going out to the movies to see K19... with the understanding that she will help me fold laundry afterwards.

On the Bricks is in Centennial Park, Downtown Rocks is nearby.

Directions to the Labyrinth: From Buckhead, go south on Peachtree. A mile or two past all the bars is a road called West Wesley, the labyrinth I believe belongs to a church on the corner of West Wesley and Peachtree. I think it is right across from Fellini's and La Fonda Latina.

do laundry - lol - small load by hand sounds more like it.....
