Chealation therapy is the shit

Chelation Therapy - (Pronounced: Kee-lay-shun)

Of all of the underutilized therapies in the world, based on its ability to provide the recipient with an extremely safe alternative to many dangerous and potentially lethal procedures, chelation probably takes the cake. Not only is it very safe (when performed by those who are trained in its use), it is fractionally as expensive.

Definition:

The word chelation comes from the Greek word "chele", which means claw, like that of a crab. The biochemistry of the therapy is to "claw-out" different elements based on the type of chelation compound that is used. The compound most commonly used is Ethylene Di-amine Tetra-acetic Acid (EDTA). Atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries, involves the accumulation of calcium deposits in plaques in the arterial walls. The introduction of EDTA, intravenously, can help to reduce and eventually remove these plaques. EDTA has an affinity for calcium. As you can imagine, if these blockages are in the arteries of the heart, patients can have chest pain (angina) and go on to have heart attacks (Myocardial Infarction or MI). Chelation therapy involves the intravenous infusion of EDTA, along with other components such as magnesium and sodium bicarbonate, as well as Vitamin C. In a 500cc (1/2 liter) bag of fluid, usually sterile water or D5W (5% sugar water). This is slowly infused over about 2.5-3 hours.

Most patients require about thirty to forty treatments, depending on what we are treating. Coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease respond quite well, but may need continued follow-up. Most patients will undergo the initial sessions and then return on a monthly basis for six months to a year and then semi-annually. The treatment of other conditions such as heavy metal toxicity, which is now being looked at more closely, usually do not require as many sessions, however, if the toxic burden is very high, patients may have extended therapy.

You may be asking yourself the question, "Why is it that Chelation therapy sounds so good, while none of my doctors seem to know anything about it?" This may be an easier question to answer than you think. Currently, heart disease is the number one killer of Americans today-------and has been for quite some time. Despite the fact that we have been on low fat diets for almost three decades, we continue to pile on the pounds. One might gather that low fat diets are just not the answer. There are a huge faction of doctors and researchers (as well as institutions who collect royally for services rendered) who have bought into the spiraling pit of.........chest pain,........angiogram, and by-pass surgery. If you are so bold as to ask those docs, you find that they are slow to respond with the benefits of having your chest sawed in half. In fact, there have been no studies proving the success of bypass surgery as a lasting solution to the blockage of the coronary arteries.

Many of you will seek alternative treatments to the traditional therapies. You will ask your trusted doctors (some of which have been in the family for decades) and they will convince you that Chelation is quackery (probably because there is a basic degree of ignorance).....(we hate to accuse anyone of monetary gain). [See 'Bottom Line' below]
The fact is that if every doctor who had the capability of performing Chelation therapy in his/her office were to apply it as directed, 20% of American hospitals would be closed in a year. How many institutions rely on the benefit of admissions by cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons?

Bottom Line

Pull out your statements:

Angiogram................~$10,000.00 (Mandatory prior to surgery)

By-Pass Surgery.......~$50,000.00 (Depends on how many vessels)

Hospital Stay............~$????????? (Hope nothing goes wrong!!!!!)

This may make you think. The total cost of Chelation is 3 to $4000.00. This is for 30 to 40 treatments. In more than fifty years of chelation therapy, less than Twenty(20) patients have lost their lives. All of these have been before the advent of the regulating body which governs the practice of chelation since the early 1980's. (ACAM)

Why is it that you will not hear of the greater than 100,000 deaths per year in American hospitals due to prescription drugs?
Call your Senators and Representatives. We cry about inadequate insurance coverage. You are paying for the brutal and debilitating surgeries that are so commonplace today. You foot the bill for the ever-increasing premiums. Can we not save money and restore the integrity of our insurance system if we refrain from barbaric, expensive, and outdated procedures? Why would an insurance company pay $75,000 for a procedure that could be replaced by a therapy that costs fractionally less? Insurance companies do not pay for Chelation therapy. Why??????

The so-called powers that be state that there is no proof of the success of Chelation therapy. As mentioned above, there seems to be no proof of the standard therapy. The record speaks for itself. More human beings die on the operating table in less than one year from by-pass surgery, than those that died in the entire history of Chelation to date.

Chelation is a safe alternative to Open-Heart Surgery. There are many physicians who are adequately trained in the practice of Chelation, and there are several societies that can help you with the qualifications of physicians in your area. Please see below for a listing. Not only is it an alternative to by-pass surgery, it works very well on Peripheral Vascular Disease (blockages in the extremities), Hypercholesterolemia, Osteoporosis, and a number of other conditions ranging from Alzheimer's to Arthritis, not to mention its original purpose- heavy metal detoxification.

You may have had friends or family members who have had Chelation. You are lucky. For those of you who do not know the facts, please contact the following organizations for more information:

Chelation is controversial even within the alternative health community. While chelators like EDTA remove "toxic" elements like lead, and mercury, they also remove "helpful" elements like calcium, magnesium, copper, zinc, iron, selenium, manganese, etc... They are indescriminant in their removal, leaving a person robbed of all minerals, which isn't a good thing either.

Yes , they do remove helpful elements from your body. There are instructions on how to restore those chemicals to your body

Unfortuately ... it is usually very desparate people.

usually the same people who are doing the Colon Cleanse.lol

I have known several physicians who perform this. They all claim wonderful results and point to functional tests or patient satisfaction to support the efficacy of chelation. A4M as well uses the same criteria. Fair enough, however here's the rub; the last I checked (several years past), comparative (pre and post-treatment) angiography had never been performed to demonstrate the diminishment of plaque formations. Dr. Garry Gordon, a claimed authority on chelation and past-president of A4M dodged the question twice in e-mails. The other chelating physicians, as well, have never answered this question.

Finally, a male relation to Gordon had received many, as in one-hundred or more, chelation treatments and on autopsy his body was severely riddled with plaquing. Gordon then publicly stated that claims for chelation would need to be focused on heavy-metals clearing.
