Changing Window opening size

When I click a link that opens in a new browser window (using MSN browser) It opens a tiny window. How do I change this to open a full size window every time? It gets annoying to have to continually maximize each window that opens

i used to know how to do that but i forgot

i think you have to hold shift or control when you "x" out of the size window you want
