Someone needs to design a high-performance, full automatic firearm that requires nothing but a 3D printer and a little machining for the most critical/highest pressure parts.

The 3D parts will be designed for printability (low use of support material, reinforcement for thinner cross sections, etc. etc.).

And the machined parts will be designed for manufacturability as well (easy to fixture, less wasted material, minimal setups).

Here's the kicker: We won't make the rifles. Instead we'll sell the 3D models (and drawings) online for $100 each. I'd have to research the legality of it, but it would be way cool to see the proliferation of a high performance full auto rifle that only needed a few dozen parts (or less).
