Can someone explain why this is considered a great tourist destination?

Someone approached my company to help fund a resort project and was wondering what people do there in the Winter time?

Is it freezing cold like Buffalo?

I lived in a town called Hudson, near the Rip Van Winkle bridge...it was actually pretty cool...

I got family there. Skiing, rifle hunting, and some fishing, but not great from the places I checked out. I don't think I'd want to vacation there.

When I went up there it was for skiing, casual sex and drinking. Aside from the skiing I can get the rest down here.

But what about a gaming resort/casino in the style of Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun?
