CARBS at NIGHT ?

I am trying to cut right now and with my schedule my first meal is at 6:00am and I workout at about 5:30pm, leaving my post workout shake at about 7:00pm. Since my postworkout shake is late in the evening, should I keep it carb free or go with the malto anyway?
 
I am from the school of thought that since its post workout, its fine. But your PW shake is fast acting and absorbing, id still eat a low carb lean protein source before bed.
