Carb/protein/fat ratio

People will have opinions all over the place on this one, I know.

It takes a lot of dedicated effort for me to build muscle (which is what I am trying to do right now), and I can eat a fairly high amount of calories for my body size - my metabolism is good. I have been doing about:
40% carbs, 40% protein, 20% fat

Tell me some opinions and what some of you have been doing lately . .
 
I am TRYING to do a 60%P, 30%F(monounsaturated mostly), and 10%C.

It seems to be working rather well for me. I have taken into consideration a friend talking about the Zone diet. Working off my insulin... I've been doing well...

Others will have their opinion. But, we wouldn't be able to live unless everyone had an opinion...right?;)
 
Yeah, I have been thinking about lowering carbs again - but everytime I do that, my energy gets shot. I tire really easy and don't have good workouts. Maybe I try to cut carbs too fast . . . I am not sure.

Zone diet?? any info on it?
 
To me it seems a rather modest amount of food. I am amazed that spatts can gain LBM on 3K calories per day. I need 4500 and i do less cardio as well.
 
Thanks for the info Spatt - you are right . . . clean diet with out a lot of "long ingredients labels" !! :mix:

I need to increase my calorie intake and reduce my fat a little bit (replace that with more protein). I thinks that's where I'll go from here. :)
