capoten is the brand name for captopril in short it is an ace inhibitor. yes over time it will help to reduce the number of A2 receptors on the fat cell tilting the ratio of A2s in favor B2 receptors., thus in theory giving the B2 stimulation a greater advantage. The other thing ACE do is to lower aldosterone which will leave you with less fluid retention. Its also not a bad decision on sauce to keep blood pressure in check..
