Cant gain weight from "clean" food

I often hear people say that they cannot gain weight from healthy food sources.
This makes no sense to me. It seems that anyone could gain weight from clean food, being that clean foods are ideal for muscle building. I dont see how processed shit could possibly have any extra benefit besides fat gain. You just have to find what amount of "clean" food you need to be eating and WHEN.

Anyone have any different thoughts?

That's usually because they aren't keeping an accurate food log and underestimating how much they are eating. Clean bulking is actually harder than dieting IMO because it's so stinking hard to overeat on it. It's easy to bulk eating at McDonald's because it's so easy to throw down 1,000 kcal in a single meal and end up gaining too much fat. Try doing that with chicken breast and oatmeal.

I'm bulking again, and this time I'm on a much "cleaner" diet... What I've noticed is that it takes longer for me to gain weight even though I consume about 2000+ cals per day, gradually increase it by 200 a week though,(gaining only 0.5 -1 pound per week) compared to before when I used to just eat anything(gained 2-2.5 pounds per week). :worried: :verygood:
