cant decide on either laptop or desktop...?

cant decide on whether or not to buy a laptop of desktop computer. laptops are more convienient, however more pricey and unupgradable.. while the desktop would be a more powerful machine for the money. im in the army so was thinking a laptop would be more convienient.
what do you think?

depends on what you'll use it for.If your planning on only using it for searching the web,and chatting here,then a laptop is fine.If you have to use your computer for in depth work,or need a fast response on big programs,I would use the desktop.

itll mostly be work + internet (mostly just using microsoft word/powerpoint etc.). games rarely

Exactly...Unless, you plan on gaming, get a laptop.

There is nothing better than a laptop. You can lounge on your coach, your bed and still get work done. It's great. To be honest with you, the specs on any new computer is more than fine if all you are gonna do is surf the net and do some word processing. Good luck!

I did that and now 1/4 the keys don't work anymore. I wouldn't want a laptop as my only computer but I like having one. It's a matter of preference but if you aren't doing serious gaming or video editing any laptop on the market today should have enough power for what you need to do. You may as well get one with a DVD Rom so you can watch movies on the go.
