Candle wax?

How do you get candle wax off a hardwood floor?


Any suggestions?

just playin', but i'm sorry to say that i do not know. just scrape it up with an implement or finger?

My girlfriend used dry ice one night after a party to get gum off the floor. It froze and popped off

You have to re-melt it. Use another candle to do this, or boiling water if your floor is covered with polyurethane or some other protectant. Melt, then cover with water. The wax will float to the top of the water, then just skim it off and dry the rest.

A hot iron over a towel or washcloth or paper towels works for carpets...it might work for hardwood floors. As the iron heats the wax, move the fabric and wipe with a clean spot. Hardwood floors have to be easier than carpet!

Just warm it up somehow. Don't use any chemicals or you'll take the finish off the floor.
