Can You Take a Compliment?

I think that sometimes I have a hard time accepting them. Like I've been told I have a nice laugh. I don't see how. Or people have said they love the accent. I'm not a big fan of it. Sometimes, I just sell stuff short and have problems accepting them.

I usually just smile and say thank you. I look ALOT different in the past year, and have been getting used to handling compliments. It does not go to my head, It just tells me the what I am doing is working.

Depends on the compliment and who it's coming from. If I've put a lot of hard work into acheving something (work related, physique related, etc.), then it's cool. I appreciate it, even though I might be embarassed.

If it's just some general compiment on something I had little to no influence on, I could care less. Like "nice suit" or "I like your car." Whoop-dee-do.

In the past, I refused to take compliments, and blew them off. I would not beleive anything possitive that was thrown at me. I now acknowlege myself as a human being, and as worthy of compliments that I am given. I truly love the changes I have had in my mind, heart, and body. And furthermore, it just gets better and better everyday.
