Synthol is really the most messed up thing you can do to yourself. The risk / reward ratio is so out of balance that it's like russian roulette.
That 1" won't be worth it, in the long run. Even if it ends up at the right spot, but what happens when you get an injury, get old or can't work out for any other reason anymore?
It will look like you got some weird lump and need surgery to have it removed.

assuming you get good quality synthol it is pretty risky to use.. a lot of infections from it, not something i would fuck with personally but if used correctly and you are lucky you can get away with it

Apart from all the highly probably adverse side effects you always have the problem with synthol consisting in its unpredictability. That is - you can never predict with certainty exactly how it will settle in the muscle and what shape it will give to the muscle.

The only issue is, is it's not really easy to use and requires skill to make the muscles look good.

Unless you are a top level pro there is absolutely no reason to use synthol.
